Beautiful view overlooking the city of Salzburg!
We had lunch in downtown Salzburg. I ate a delicious traditional pork fried schnitzel filled with spinach, ham, and cheese and topped with cranberry sauce (unpictured), served with potato wedges on the side (dipped in lots of ketchup, of course).

My mom and I decided to go on a Sound of Music tour. I was by far one of the youngest people on the tour (lol), but it was a good way to see historic/famous sites from the movie as well as city and countryside.

One of the houses they filmed at for Sound of Music!

Anyone recognize this street from the film? You can see the yellow stone wall way in the back that Maria skipped/sang down.
We took a tour bus that stopped at 4-6 different locations including two houses they filmed at, the gardens, the church in quaint country village, beautiful lakes, and the famous gazebo.

Gardens

More gardens…sadly I didn’t get a picture of the fountain!
I loved Austria. I couldn’t get over the beauty of the mountains and countryside especially. Pictures and cameras just can’t do the beauty justice of seeing it in person (that and my lack of photography skills/iPhone pictures at least, haha!).

Views from exploring the city of Salzburg…
Dinner at delicious outdoor cafe where I got a savory crepe filled with feta, tomatoes, and arugula. Huge and so good with balsamic vinegar (best balsamic vinegar I’ve ever tried-so sweet!).

I thought this sign pointing to the “water closet” aka restrooms was hilarious!
We were only in Austria about a day…so short and sweet trip!
Beautiful. Austria is best known for wine and is the destination one should visit only for good wine…
Can’t say I had wine while in Austria…Good to know for next time! ?
Your photos are gorgeous! We were also only in Austria very shortly but agree that it was so beautiful and pristine!
Oh thank you! That’s so fun you’ve had the opportunity to visit Austria as well! 🙂
You can tell I’m old….these are beautiful…Think this might be my favorite place..
Thank you! Yes, it was beautiful and one of my favorite countries we visited! ?
