BBQ Roasted Mixed Nuts

These BBQ roasted nuts are the most perfect savory, nutritious, crunchy, and DELICIOUS snack! I adore flavored almonds and nuts from the grocery store (seriously…if you’re eating plain/unsalted almonds…you are missing out on LIFE). BUT…store-bought flavored can be $$$. While you obviously still have to purchase the nuts to make this recipe, making a huge batch of these BBQ seasoned nuts is much cheaper, healthier, and I daresay YUMMIER than buying from the grocery store!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 1 cups pecans
  • ½ cup pepitas OR sunflower seeds
  • BBQ Seasoning:
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cumin
  • 1 ½ teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 teaspoons water
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Add nuts and pepitas/sunflower seeds to a large bowl.
  2. Beat egg whites and water until frothy (I used a hand-held small beater) and pour over mixed nuts.
  3. In a separate small bowl, stir together BBQ seasoning spices until combined.
  4. Add BBQ seasoning to mixed nuts/egg white mixture and stir until combined.
  5. Bake at 300 degrees for about 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
