Breaking up the usual recipes with a little travel post today! I wanted to share a bit about my trip to Europe this summer. I had the amazing opportunity to go to SIX different countries in Europe/the UK this past July. My aunt and cousin were already planning to go, and my mom and I decided to tag along to! Our itinerary included Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France (Paris), and England (London). We were gone 2.5 weeks in July…it was a whirlwind trip!
I was debating how to write these posts, as I have a few too many pictures to include in just one single post! I decided to write six separate posts by country, including both what we ate and what we did in each country. If you’re here for the recipes, never fear! Monday we will be back with a delicious summer recipe. 👍
Moving on! I actually had my first official acai bowl in the airport on the way there! I have been wanting to try one for AGES, but we don’t have any good juice bars/cafes near where I live. This was literally eaten at like midnight as a “snack”…traveling across multiple time zones and international flights get a bit crazy!
A few food highlights:
Some highlights of what we did! Since we were just in Venice for the afternoon, we mostly just explored the city by boat which allowed us to see the beautiful city, as well as see St. Mark’s Square (Piazza San Marco), and of course…when it Italy–eat gelato! 😍
Amazing how the “streets” are literally canals and traveling by boat is the norm.
We had more time in the other countries we visited, but I’m glad we had a quick visit to Venice! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and see you back Monday with a new recipe! 😊
