Did you know you can make pancakes on a sheet pan?! Say goodbye to standing over the stove flipping pancakes! Call me lazy, but honestly I find making pancakes (especially for a crowd!) SO tedious. I’m happy to say those days are no more!! These Kodiak Cake sheet pan pancakes can make a HUGE amount (but you can always make a smaller batch too!) and I absolutely love how freezer-friendly these are. I make a batch on Sundays, cut them into squares and freeze in stacks to take out of the freezer whenever a pancake craving strikes.
Not to mention, if you’re using Kodiak Cakes, you can switch it up and use whatever flavor mix you want! While I haven’t tried this with anything other than Kodiak Cakes, I’m sure you could use whatever pancake mix you want/have on hand. BUT…if you haven’t tried Kodiak Cakes, I highly recommend you give them a try! They are filled with whole grains and protein, low in sugar, and honestly just taste delicious. ?
I debated posting this since it can hardly be considered a recipe…but hey, I daresay this recipe has been LIFE-CHANGING for me so I simply had to share it with you too! A little back story…I honestly hardly ever make pancakes because I don’t like standing over the stove flipping them. I mean, I know I’m usually only cooking for two people…but there have been times I’ve attempted to make pancakes for when family visits or a brunch. And it takes forever to make enough pancakes for everyone!!! Not to mention, the pancakes you cooked first are stone cold by the time the last batch is finished.
My husband loves pancakes, and recently mentioned how it had been awhile since I’ve made them. Whoops. ?♀️ While we both absolutely LOVE these blueberry pancakes and chocolate chip pancakes, I had some Kodiak Cakes mix on hand so decided to use that!
Honestly, I wasn’t initially going to make sheet pan pancakes, but I saw a fellow food blogger post her homemade pancake recipe into a sheet pan form on Instagram. I was excited to try it myself with the Kodiak cake mix…because I mean, we’re trying to make this recipe as easy as possible! ?

Kodiak Cake pancake mix (or other pancake mix of your choice)

Milk of your choice (I used skim/1%), but you can also use water!
How to Make Sheet Pan Pancakes
This recipe is truly so simple to make, and literally takes about 3 minutes of hands-on prep time. All you do is mix the pancake mix with an equivalent amount of milk (you can use water, but I prefer milk for additional protein and taste!). Stir together like you would when making pancake batter. Then spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray and spread pancake batter in it evenly. It will be a thin layer; that’s ok! Then simply bake at 350 degrees until the top is set, about 20 minutes for a large sheet pan but may be shorter/longer depending on what size sheet pan you use, how thick the pancakes are, and your oven.
Serving Suggestions for Sheet Pan Pancakes
After cutting the pancakes into squares, simply serve these pancakes as you would normal pancakes! Butter and pure maple syrup are a classic. Lately my husband and I have been loving mixing this homemade salted caramel with peanut butter, melting it slightly in the microwave, and then drizzling on top! We have also been slicing bananas. The combination of salted caramel, peanut butter, bananas, and pancakes has been so delicious!
As I mentioned, I also have been stacking these pancakes into piles of 3-4 squares, and then wrapping individually and freezing for later use!
I’ve also made sheet pan pancakes using many different flavors of mix…most recently was double dark chocolate chip! Classic buttermilk is also a great option. The photos were using a strawberry chocolate chip Kodiak Cakes mix.
- 4 cups pancake mix of choice (I use and recommend Kodiak Cakes!
- 4 cups milk of choice or water (or amount as per pancake mix instructions)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a large baking sheet (12x17) with nonstick spray.
- In a bowl, whisk together pancake mix and milk until combined.
- Pour pancake batter into baking tray and spread evenly.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, or until set and cooked through!
- Let cool slightly and cut into squares.
- This is very freezer friendly and a great meal-prep option to have on hand for easy week-day breakfasts.
- You can also halve this recipe and use 2 cups pancake mix and 2 cups milk and use a smaller baking pan (such as 8x11 baking sheet) or 9x13 pan.
